I feel like it’s been ages since I wrote, (I just posted so that was sarcasm 😉 )
Life has been filled with vertigo and sickness at my house, fun, fun.
But, that doesn’t mean we didn’t have some fun and good times thrown in to help kill the bad-mood vibe going on.
Wednesday I had a much-needed confidence boosting speed work day.
7 miles at marathon pace, felt like I really could have ran 26.2 at that pace. 3 miles at a “cruise” pace…tough, but doable. I had the treadmill at a 1% incline to attempt to compensate for running on a treadmill rather then outdoors.
Quick product review!
Ran and stretched in my new Oiselle Runway bra. I was in love. I will admit, lately, my chest has been a lot smaller due to some hormonal imbalances…so I didn’t need the same support I normally do. However, I was really excited I didn’t chafe or bounce…I also didn’t feel like I had to be a magician to get in and out of the bra…my purchase was a success!
Bodhi had his Valentine’s Day program. He is a doll. I love how nervous he was to dance and sing in front of a crowd…He is such a ham when dealing with one-on-one interaction, but he freezes up when there is a crowded room, (he takes after his mom…Ryan has the gift of gab we both lack).
Boys, post program. Ryan was sick today so we lucked out on getting him to make an appearance! Bodhi kept waving at his Dad and brother…I LOVE MY BOYS.
Lettuce has officially taken off in our basement. Ryan, Bodhi, Trout, and I will be eating at least one large salad a day for the next 2 months! I’m very excited about this.
I bought a new cookbook and have already made quite a bit from it. My favorite so far are these macaroons. The macaroons are gluten free and paleo…they’re delicious.
If you are interested in making the macaroons and many other yummy looking food…order Danielle’s book HERE.
Tulee and Rouix have been enjoying running lately with me. It has been hard incorporating the dogs on all of my runs…but they sure do appreciate when I include them in a long, but not double digit run, (they have run 14 miles with me…they were lazy for a week after…awe middle-aged puppies).
While Tulee and Rouix are mellowing out, Trout is just starting to get his legs underneath him. Of course Trout has been walking for quite some time now…but that kid has gotten fast! If you turn your back on him for even one second…he was raising heck at Menards tonight, I have my hands full with this guy.
Sickness and general feeling of blah doesn’t usually mean we get to put a pause on life…so we have been trying to push forward, (while also being mindful); life with kids (and furry kids) usually means firing on all cylinders at all times, (except for nap time…we’ve been monopolizing on that lately!)
Any super speedy work happening lately for you?
Any one follow a paleo diet? Besides having to eat dairy and gluten free…I don’t know if I could stick to one “specific” diet…my stomach doesn’t discriminate 😉
