My boys are so much like me it’s silly. They love incredibly hard and they fight equally as hard. This morning and every morning there is lots of hugs, kisses, and “love you” muttered before we start our day.
I am feeling mostly better these days, but don’t want to risk a rebound with my cold/flu, therefore…runs are done on my treadmill during the week days. The weather has been amazing for running outdoors, but pushing 125 lbs of stroller and boy is not a risk I’m willing to take.
11 miles on my treadmill, mixed in with 3 different running locations one in the Netherlands, one in the Black Hills, and the last part of my run was completed by running the final 6 for Boston! I love my treadmill ifit! I’m hoping I can save the “Heartbreak” hill run on my treadmill so that I can become better aquatinted with the last bit of my marathon for this April…I have never had the opportunity to run a route before the actual race so this would be a first for me! (Bonus, no actual travel needed, only have to head downstairs to my basement!)
Today we got off on a late start, (I’m ashamed to admit this, but we didn’t see sunlight until 9 this morning, whoops!)
After my run was finished I saw how amazing the weather was and we were “obligated” to enjoy the rest of the day outdoors! I love homeschooling for reasons like this…great weather = play as much as possible and work later when it’s dark at 4 and raining).
Bodhi was being a stellar big brother today, (he is most days, but we are fighting the “who is the parent? me or you?” phase right now…Bodhi seems to think he’s the man in charge).
I didn’t “eat” a lot of greens today, (I had my daily green drink and broccoli in my pizza crust tonight, that’s it!)
I thought eating less roughage was going to end badly, but overall…it was what my body needed! sometimes you need to load up on starch and grain. My diet today consisted of:
- Breakfast “monster cookie” (peanut butter, oats, coconut palm nectar, applesauce, an egg)
- Plantain “cake” (plantain, banana, egg, cinnamon, coconut sugar (a hint), and vanilla) topped with lots of vegan butter
- Kevita drink
- Stuffed mushroom pizza with vegan pine nut/brazil nut cheese and broccoli crust
- a couple pieces of dark chocolate
I usually eat A LOT of greens, salads, smoothies, things of that nature…but sometimes my body just really needs comfort food, (especially when I put on some miles or I’m having a more then typical busy days with the boys).
I am also entertaining the thought of starting my own youtube channel, thoughts?
