It’s funny how when you’re with the right person anything can seem fun; which is why I feel so incredibly dumbfounded that I found someone as awesome as Sarah to run with!
This lady is the best of the best running “wife”. She is everything I look for in a running bud:
- Easy to talk to. I might be the person who ends up talking A LOT on my run, (wether I’m going all out or an easy jog)
- Up for adventure. I got us lost on our first outing together, not a complaint was made…just excitement for the journey at hand! she was awesome.
- Prepared. I appreciate someone who is willing to go out rain or shine, hot or cold, long or short. I take my runs seriously, especially when I am taking time away from my boys. I love that I have found someone who has made it a point that her run will be successful, because she thinks ahead, (head lamp, check. Hydration, check. lots to talk about for at least an hour, check.)
This was us trying to jump in the air…She ended up looking like a suspended starfish and I’m either surfing or practicing squatting for a potential running misadventure =)
In the end we decided that an action shot was just too complicated for us…so we hit it up old-school style and stood there, smiled, and had someone take the photo for us.
Left with the best runner high…I came home to help demo some more of our main level living space. I decided that I was going to really live in my house this go around. I might not like the idea that I am living in the midwest again, but I really want to make my home, mine.
Between marrying an incredible handyman, (he could literally build me a home from scratch!) and my excitement for grunt work, (as well as having ample beers on hand and a friend willing to finish them off with the intent of utilizing his man-power)…we are ready for our home to have new floors!
I am anxiously awaiting to share with you our house and it’s new flooring! I was tired of looking at old, stained, white carpet….our home needed a face-lift! thankfully I had a Dad who taught me to look for a home with good “bones” so structurally our house is sound….the cosmetic stuff is easier and fun.
I had to post some photos of our little men. I like to take pictures in their swing…it really puts into perspective how much they’ve grown in a short amount of time!
So very thankful for a great day like today.
How may of you like to do home demos?
What are your DIY shows is your guilty pleasure? I love rehab addict and fixer upper, (secretly hoping Ryan and I can be a husband/wife team like fixer upper duo)
