Today was my “long-run” day.
I have been dreading heading outdoors; which sounds crazy. I have had no desire to head out and pound pavement while my boys are snuggled in bed…I’d rather be near them…just where I’m at right now.
Aside from the inability to head outdoors early to go for a long run, I have been quite comfortable putting on the miles on my treadmill. I never thought I would be the person to spend more then 5 minute on one and here I was today running 17 miles…willing to put in 20, but I heard my boys stir upstairs and wanted to be part of the commotion.
I did try these today!
I want to preface first by saying…I am in no way affiliated with this brand, I don’t get compensation for promoting their product. With that said…I LOVED all of them! (I do prefer the raspberry flavor) They mixed great in water, didn’t have the fizz affect like some brands (burping on longer runs are not enjoyable to me), had no medicinal taste, and they kept me happily/comfortably chugging along for 2 hours on the treadmill.
There has been a lot of hard work and dedication given towards running lately and I am beyond excited that I can feel good running as far as I do without aches and pains. I hope that by fueling right, (which I will be doing with cocogo…along with eating as healthy as possible 95% of the time) I can keep on going and challenging myself.
Some call it crazy, I call it the love of running.
Have I mentioned how much I love this guy! just in case you all forgot! I love that weekends give me more time to be “fun” mom rather then “tough” mom while I have Dad around to unload some of the anxieties that come with having 2 active boys =)
